Standard 8 - Collaborative Relationships – The competent teacher builds and maintains collaborative relationships to foster cognitive, linguistic, physical, and social and emotional development. This teacher works as a team member with professional colleagues, students, parents or guardians, and community members.

For students who have IEP's the school and the appropriate parties all join in to help determine the best way to assist with help all students be successful. The student is present as well and gives feedback on their levels of success.
8N) uses effective co-planning and co-teaching techniques to deliver instruction to each student
For this standard I collaborated with another teacher and we created a lesson to teach to my students. The teacher brought new ideas to the way I usually teach my lessons. It also benefited the students to have someone else to help teach them in ways that I do not do.
