6J) selects, modifies, and uses a wide range of printed, visual, or auditory materials, and online resources appropriate to the content areas and the reading needs and levels of each student.
When using ed puzzles it connects to the standard by allowing students to use the resources at their disposal. The students could be given work to fit their level of understanding in multiple ways such as audio, video, and reading materials.
6R) works with other teachers and support personnel to design, adjust, and modify instruction to meet students’ reading, writing, and oral communication needs.
This connects to standard 6R by using school improvement days to collaborate with staff members within our school and district. I have collaborated with experienced teachers who gave me advice and ideas to help me in this career path. Every other Wednesday our school district has school improvement days in order to work as a department or gather as a district to talk, create/share ideas, and provide feedback with one another.
