Standard 7 - Assessment – The competent teacher understands and uses appropriate formative and summative assessments for determining student needs, monitoring student progress, measuring student growth, and evaluating student outcomes. The teacher makes decisions driven by data about curricular and instructional effectiveness and adjusts practices to meet the needs of each student.
7I) Knows assessment and progress monitoring techniques to assess the effectiveness of instruction for each student.
When connecting to the 7th standard I performed a pretest with the student to recover knowledgeable information to establish some records of the student. I took this information as a guide for the student and I to measure levels of improvement or lack thereof. The information that I obtain will be graded in the same manner in a number of weeks.
70) effectively uses appropriate technologies to conduct assessments, monitor performance, and assess student progress.
When connecting this standard I used this worksheet to provide my students a way to log information after they performed at home workouts if school were not in school or if they wanted to earn credit for missing a lesson throughout the week. The students would have to record themselves on their school provided ipads and submit this sheet with a video of them performing their workout to receive points.
