Understanding Unique Differences
1D) Understands the impact of cognitive, emotional, physical, and sensory disabilities on learning and communication pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act.
This connects to standard 1D by learning about a disability in order to understand unique differences, while also being conscious of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act. When writing this essay I was able to understand the reasons why some students respond and act in school. Some kids have disorders where it hinders not just themselves from learning but those students become a distraction to other students as well. Overtime research has been done and laws have been established to help those students who struggle with behavioral and emotional disorders and gives those same students the help they need to get them on the right track.
Lesson Reflection

This connects to standard 1F by understanding the effects of making adaptations to teaching. In this essay reflection it helped me to understand the reasons and importance of having modifications and accommodations for students who need them. All students are different and learn and grow in different ways. Throughout this essay I explain the growth I've made with understanding and connecting with my students.
