Want to learn new skills! Here is a database of websites where you can teach yourself cool skills of all kinds! Most of the organizations here are also databases, like Udemy, which is a database of courses on pretty much anything, and Brilliant.org, which is an educational site which teaches you STEM subjects in a cool, visual and interactive way!
As more sites are added, this page will be split up into sections for ease of access
Note: There is a separate page for specific certifications you can get, like Cybersecurity, Python, First Aid and CPR, Ergonomics, etc. That page focuses more on links to resume-building certifications as opposed to long-term skills, but you do learn a lot of valuable things in those certifications too (cough cough First Aid)
Udemy is a site where you can self learn all sorts of cool topics like programming, art, business skills, and more! The courses are at a decent price usually, and are discounted, often to less than $20CAD for courses several hours long and packed with content. I learned how to do Android development from a great Udemy Course, by Morteza Kordi, you might want to check that out if you're in Udemy.

Brilliant.org is a cool site which teaches STEM subjects in a really intuitive, game-based learning approach which simplifies a lot of otherwise challenging STEM concepts, by explaining them via interactive simulations and diagrams. Trust me, it's really cool!
Plans: There is a free version, but greatly limited. The Premium version is best, and it costs $24.99 per month for a monthly subscription, $149 per year ($12.49/mo) for a yearly subscription, $585.18 for a lifetime Premium subscription -worth about 3 annual subscriptions)
There is also an annual group (3+ people) subscription for $299.88 per year. The group subscription will grant each individual user separate access to the Brilliant Premium account and the pricing can vary depending on the final number of people participating in the subscription.
If you want to randomly self-learn STEM topics, here's your place. Or one of them, anyways. Its a pretty decent and well known place to learn STEM topics, and unlike Brilliant.org, its free!
Khan Academy is a very useful tool which guides you through various subjects, notably mathematics and science, via video tutorials, text based descriptions, and problem based learning (they give you automated quizzes and tests). This software is web based, and free. An account is not necessary, but is recommended to track progress
Note: Khan Academy is generally used for math and science, however it does have course modules in the Arts and Humanities, English Language Arts, Computer Science, and Economics.
Also note that certain types of courses, like English, are only applicable for certain grades: E.g, English Language Arts are only available grades 1-9
Justin Guitar is a cool site where you can learn to play guitar -FOR FREE- via online modules of videos and interactive quizzes, etc. Now, this method may not work for everyone, but thats how I got started out in guitar. So, hey, why not give it a try if you like guitar, huh?
