Junior Achievement is an international initiative which helps students gain financial literacy and gain experience in entrepreneurship. Junior Achievement hosts many basic programs for grades 3-8, and advanced programs for grades 9-12, the most notable program is the JA Company Program, which runs for 18 weeks every year, and students team up to make a student run company and learn about how a real company functions. The student run companies compete, and they can even compete up to the international level.
