The Google support pages are a good place to start to learn about different USB and WiFi connections.
The following is a quick guide from the above and it may be all you need as the Cloudready "Settings" are the same as those found on a Chromebooks ...
1. Power on printer and connect to your device with a USB cable.
2. Add your printer to your device ...
Click your account photo. [bottom right of screen]
Click Settings Settings.
At the bottom, click Advanced.
In the 'Printing' section, click Printers.
Click Add Printer.
Choose your printer [if it's switched on and supported] from the list, then click Add.
Note: If you don’t see your printer listed, you can usually add it printer manually - see the support page for 'Select a printer manufacturer and model'.
