Prevent Social Media Addiction - Mobile App
In the Prevent Social Media Addiction mobile app project, I spearheaded the design and development of a user-centric solution to reduce addictive social media behaviors. Utilizing the Smart Notification Concept, the app filters out spam and group chat notifications during study or focus hours, allowing users to snooze non-essential alerts while ensuring emergency messages remain visible. Throughout the project, I led efforts from defining primary users and creating an Ecosystem Collection Map, conducting interviews and synthesizing insights, to developing storyboards and progressing through wireframing stages from lo-fi to hi-fi. The app features a clear navigation bar with modes for study, work, and sleep; an Alarm page displaying notification status and countdown; a Data page presenting charts and statistics on social media usage and focus time; and an Account page that rewards users with badges for maintaining focus. Additionally, user testing and feedback were integral to refining the design, resulting in a final prototype that effectively balances minimizing distractions with maintaining important communications. This project showcases my expertise in interactive design, user research, and iterative development, demonstrating my ability to create impactful, technology-driven solutions that enhance user efficiency and well-being.
