Rules & INFO

• Discriminatory and hateful words/actions against our community and/or users is never tolerated. ** We carry the right to not accept a user into our ARPG space/discord server if your profile shares harmful/discriminatory information or actions that do not align with our values in our rules above/below/in our discord server.

• Under no circumstance can you buy/sell pre-approved pokemon for any monetary profit if they do NOT have a staff verified price value on their Toyhouse Masterlist profile. If a pokemon has a pre-approved staff price value, it will look like this.

  • • Personal art you have created of your pokemon will not be added to a pokemon's value. However, if you have commissioned art of said pokemon and provide proof of purchase through a screenshot or link, an additional value can be added to your pokemon by DMing @imperials for the appraisal.

    • Users are allowed to commission other users for pokemon designs*. However, please note that this will NOT be added to the pokemons design worth UNLESS you DM @imperials for appraisal (as noted above).

• Drawing or writing sexual NSFW and extreme* gore of your Heartcatch pokemon is not allowed. (*Graphic/semi graphic descriptions of gore/violence in relation to fighting, battling, etc. is allowed with proper spoilers and trigger-tags.) If you are unsure about a topic in your lore is allowed, please reach out to staff.

• Art may be redeemed in #art-redeeming IF you 1. Did not receive IRL monetary value OR Loveletter equivalent for the art AND/OR 2. IF it is not a reference you just created for your #design-approvals pokemon (This is due to the fact that the redemption amount for fullbodies is roughly the same amount it costs to purchase a MYO again).

• Relationships between minors / adults ARE NOT ALLOWED PERIOD. THIS INCLUDES BABY POKEMON [see specifics on baby pokemon in the Daycare Rules Subsection below].

• Pokemon can be gifted/traded at any point as long as the new owner has consented to receiving the pokemon as well.

• Users CANNOT mass trade pokedex entries for the purpose of completing their 'dexes for milestones. (IE: Gifting/trading a user the entire Kanto 'dex for virtually nothing on their side). This defeats the purpose of collecting pokemon on your own through a period of time. (See Pokedex Guide for more info.)

• If you intend to trade a pokemon to a user who has no intention of joining Heartcatch, please transfer the design out of the ARPG first! We track ownership on the masterlist profiles and require users to post trade forms in the discord server when ownership changes, if a user has no intention of joining the ARPG, then this will cause issues in the future for staff.

• Purchasing items within the shop using Loveletters is final. We will not refund users who accidentally bought something they do not want in the future.

• Everyone in the staff list volunteers their time to grow, moderate, and help the community in some way-shape-or form on their own free personal time. Please be kind to staff when awaiting answers to questions, archiving, rolls, etc.

Strikes & Bans

Strikes and Bans are on a case-by-case basis, though many strikes and bans have a typical "guideline" protocol that is used for general offenses. Staff keeps a private log of all strikes and bans, this list will not be made public unless we feel it is necessary. You will not get a strike without a prior warning or talking to by staff. Users will often recieve a warning to stop a certain behavior/action if the offense is smaller. However, we may hand out permanent-bans without notice for users who break our more strict rules (IE: minor-adult relationships, drawing NSFW of your HC pokemon... etc.). You will be banned if you have received more than 3 strikes within 2 months.

• If you are banned from Heartcatch, we will NOT revoke any pokemon owned by you. All pokemon will be voided out of Heartcatch and they cannot be associated with the ARPG anymore. You are not allowed to interact with the community in any way. 

Transfers/voiding

Transferring out/voiding your pokemon can happen at any point if you wish to do so. 

Pokemon can be transferred/voided out as long as you get approval from the artist/s who made the pokemon to get approval for taking their design out of the ARPG AND contacting @imperials or @veloxotl in DMs for approval that you can void our your pokemon.

📌 PLEASE NOTE: Voiding will COMPLETELY REMOVE your pokemon from the ARPG. You CANNOT bring them back into the ARPG without making them as another MYO in the future. Your pokemon's masterlist number will be reused and replaced with another pokemon in its spot to fill the gap.

Once you have gotten your approvals, please ensure you post the appropriate form within the #archive-updates threads so an archivist can get to your pokemon and transfer them out.

If you wish to transfer a pokemon design IN to the ARPG: You can do so by getting the approval of the original designs' creator. If they allow their pokemon design to be brought into the ARPG, you are free to do so as a MYO. You do not need your 'own approval' to bring a design you have made prior by yourself into the ARPG.

⚠️Heartcatch Fakemon are NOT allowed to be made or used outside of the Heartcatch ARPG. Please report and notify HC staff members if you see a user who is using our fakemon outside of the ARPG.

FAKEMON REFERENCES TERMS OF SERVICE

Transferring Fakemon out of the ARPG

⚠️Transferring Heartcatch Fakemon out of the ARPG have some special rules in regard to taking them out:

• Fakemon MUST be redesigned to remove all resemblance of the fakemon design it had been originally inspired from to be taken out. This means you need to either 1. get approval to edit the original reference to change aspects of the design OR 2. create a completely new reference.

  • If the fakemon is a regional variant, you can 'de-variant' the design back to look more like the canon Nintendo (c) design. The same can be done if the pokemon you are transferring out was a fusion.

  • Spaceworld Fakemon are allowed to be taken out As-Is as long as their canon reference design wasn't changed up to be more of a fakemon for the ARPG. Otherwise they still follow the standard fakemon rules above for taking them out. (This currently includes SW Murkrow, SW Donphan, SW En, SW Jumpluff, SW Mantine, SW Rai, SW Sui)

• Please put your sketches for your redesigns into #design-approval if you think your changes may not pass for the redesign to avoid any back-and-forth of us needing you to edit your new reference art.

CAN I COMMISSION A HC FAKEMON DESIGN for a myo?

• Heartcatch Fakemon CAN be made within #advertisements design trades/commissions to be "brought into" the ARPG. This ONLY pertains to commissioning designs/design trades.

  • You cannot 'make' Fakemon designs to sell for anything monetary. If you wish to 'sell' designs; you must get them pre-approved and they can only be sold for art/Loveletters after it has been approved in #design-approvals by staff.

• Please check out #fakemon-comm-approvals for details on how to get your commissioned designs approved.

• If you would like a custom fakemon design, you are able to commission a staff member in the #customs channel IF they have their commissions open. Please see the additional information on customs for how it works!

• We have this rule in place to minimize the amount of fakemon designs floating around that could possibly not be added into the ARPG. These fakemon can ONLY be used within Heartcatch.

⚠️ If you do not consent to your pokemon being uploaded to our public Toyhouse Masterlist, then you are unable to participate in the ARPG with those pokemon. By joining the ARPG. it is automatically assumed you have agreed to these rules upon discord verification into the server.

** Please note: New generations of Pokemon that introduce more designs to the Pokedex will not be added to Heartcatch until at LEAST one week after the initial game drop to avoid spoilers for users. Please make sure you are properly spoilering and ONLY posting new pokemon within the designated game threads at that time.

• ALL pokemon made, no matter iF they are any-color/design, type-swap, fusion, etc. MUST still be able to be perceived as the pokemon/s they are being represented as. You may be asked to change aspects of your design if we cannot tell what pokemon you made upon initial glance. Please check out the MYO guide for more information.

• Pokemon designs will not be approved unless they are posted with the appropriate form in #design-approvals.

• You are allowed to use official and unofficial line-art bases of pokemon for your references as long as credit is given.

• Sometimes MYO design categories will have rare overlaps or sometimes “illegal” qualities to them that may be discussed with staff before approval. These are tricky approval areas as it is hard to gauge pokemon designs when you create any-color/any-design ‘Shiny’ Type Swaps, Fusion Type Swaps, etc. Staff discretion will be used when approving these and we may request for you to change aspects of a design as needed for approval.

• MYOs cannot be copies of other artists' original pokemon-inspired designs/fusions/etc. If an artist allows their design to be used as inspiration, proper proof must be shown upon approval. Please try to keep all of your designs as original as possible. We understand that they can be similar, but we attempt to avoid direct copies as there is so many ways you can make a design!

  • Twin/'Clone' designs are not allowed. You must have some sort of originality to separate it from a canon pokemon/fakemon design.

  • Designs that are too close to another known user's pokemon design may be denied. We understand that pokemon is it's own IP and has 'standard' design aspects for all pokemon, but try to differentiate your designs and make them unique to avoid copying and confusion!

• An item must be currently in your inventory at the time of design approval to use it for a MYO. If an item is not there by the time a staff member approves the design, your pokemon will be reacted to with an ❌ and you will need to resubmit for approval with your items.

• Pokemon are allowed to be redesigned within reason to update references & change the Pokemons overall design to something you connect with more. See the MYO Guide for more information on redesigning.

CHARACTER BASED CHARACTER (CBC) RULES

• CBCs (Character Based Characters) MUST state what the pokemon is original based off of for approval.

• CBC designs should clearly stand on their own and not be literaly translations of a charcter. Try to make your design original from the other IP they are inspired from.

• Characterization of a CBC must be original and not literally the character. You should be developing them as their own thing with their own lore.

• CBCs cannot be of real people (celebrities/youtubers/streamers/etc.) This also extends to things such as MCTYer's character skins and similar things of the like (alternate versions of youtubers that are 'OCs' like Darkiplier, etc.). If you are unsure on if a MCYT's 'Roleplay' skin would be an acceptable CBC, please ask in our #design-check discord channel!

  • A good example of the above for what WOULD and would NOT be allowed: Aphmau/Aaron's personas they roleplay with are NOT an acceptable MCRP skin to design a CBC off of. However- the characters Garroth/Laurence/Travis in her worlds WOULD be as they are NOT real people roleplaying as their own personas.

• We have the right to decline a CBC based on media we are not comfortable representing in our ARPG. There is currently not a list of disallowed CBCs from certain medias (besides Southpark, Country-humans/Hetalia, & Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss), however, as the list grows, we will compile one below.

• Pokemon do not have slots, they can breed unlimited amounts of times. Users are required to provide all previous breeding batches that a pokemon has been involved in when filling out a form so there are no mistaken incestual breedings.

• Please make sure to directly link to your pokemons toyhouse masterlist when linking to their references!

• There is a 10 day cooldown between when you can breed again when an artist claims your batch. ( ie: you post a form on the 15th and it gets accepted. You cannot have another form posted and claimed until the 25th. )

• If an artist accepts your breeding OR rolls your self-breed rolls, they will post the outcomes in #daycare with a ping and link to your form. Once batches are finished, the artist will post the hatched pokemon within #daycare if they took your slot. If you are completeing a self-breed, please check out the extended selfbreed guide here. Currently, batches can have 1-2 eggs.

• If there are two users in a breeding, there will automatically be 2 eggs in a batch (one for each user to claim). Both users will be on cooldown even if it’s an OOC breeding and one user takes both pokemon.

• You must wait at least 1 week before breeding a hatched pokemon you got in a batch.

• For self breeds, you must wait 1 week before you breed a Pokémon again.

• BREEDING MINORS ARE NOT ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. “Baby Pokemon” are not allowed to breed (as well as phantump & other infantized pokemon) as they are categorized as Children! These pokemon must be evolved first before being able to breed. Please ask if you are unsure! All Pokémon we recognize as baby Pokémon can be found here.

• Incestuous breedings (even if a batch was OOC (out of character) ) is not allowed as well.

• Do not post your form until an artist opens a slot. Artists who open breeding slots will use the @daycare-ping in #daycare. This role can be added to yourself in #reaction-roles .

• Provide proof of ownership & breeding consent when breeding with another individual (discord or other screenshot proofs are fine. Proofs must be an IMGUR or DISCORD link/screenshot)

• Hatched eggs will only be a pokemon’s first (or only) evolution. 

  • • ⚠️EEVEELUTION CLAUSE: If you are doing an eeveelution x eeveelution breeding. PLEASE make sure to specify in the ‘other’ section that you do not want a eevee x eevee outcome if it is rolled. If you do not specify, it will default to allowing it as a fusion option. As long as you specify in your form, you do not need to use any extra reroll items if eevee x eevee is an outcome. It will automatically be rerolled by staff.

• Currently, you can only breed 2-3 pokemon together at a time. You can also have a single surrogate parent breeding through the use of a single parent breeding token bought in the shop.

• Items must be purchased BEFORE a batch is completed. Do not purchase excess rolls etc. if you do not have the items/Loveletters for it. If you do not have the items in your inventory at the time of the batch being completed, you will be verbally warned (more for repeat offenders) and loveletters will be deducted from your account based on the price of what you bought. Just like normal shop items, these purchases will not be refunded if you accidentally buy something you won’t use.
