This guide is a massive compendium for information and links related to beginner-users in Heartcatch or just for users who need a refresher on some info. A guide for commonly used Heartcatch terms can be found at the bottom of this page.

Firstly, welcome to Heartcatch and thank you for joining! Now that you’re here, how do you start?
Join our Discord Server: If you are already in the discord server, welcome! If not and you are just reading this guide for the first time, please know that to access and participate fully in our ARPG, you must have a discord account and join our server! We do all of our approvals, events, announcements, adopts, etc. in this server which makes it essential to join if you’d like to start off in Heartcatch!
Upon joining the Heartcatch discord and posting in the #introductions channel, all users will automatically start off with x1 Friendball, x1 Pokedex MYO, AND 100 Loveletters 💌 (our in-game currency!). Staff manually adds these to users accounts when you join and are approved in the discord server.
After you post your entry form in #introductions, you must wait for staff to approve it and give you the ‘Verified’ role to access the rest of the server. Once you are, feel free to poke around and say hello in #general! Please remember to read pins for rules and channel descriptions for additional channel information.
*** If you want specific pings for announcements, adopts, events, reminders etc. Check out the #reaction-roles channel to add them to your profile!Create a personal Archive!: Although not necessary in the slightest, this community is still ARPG based! Which means that you should be keeping track of your approved masterlist pokemon and anything else that you want to track in relation to developing your pokemon alone, or together as a group.
⚠️*** REMINDER: All users automatically have an inventory attached to their discord account through the use of Unbelievaboat in the discord server. This bot tracks all items and love-letters💌 that users own! This does not track Pokedex entries. Pokedex entries are archived separately on their own spreadsheet.Get a 'Starter'/Making Your 'Starter': As stated above; upon joining the Heartcatch discord and posting in the #introductions channel, all users will automatically start off with a ‘Starter Bundle’ containing x1 Friendball, x1 Pokedex MYO, AND 100 Loveletters💌. Staff manually adds these to users accounts when you join and are approved in the discord server. Users will only receive this bundle once. If you leave and rejoin later you will not get it again.
How do I ‘use’ my Friendball and Pokedex MYO?:
A Friendball is a randomized roller with specific pokemon we consider to be ‘starters’ in the ARPG! Collecting Pokemon and 'catching' them to make MYOs is our Main Function in Heartcatch. Please check out the Pokedex Guide for extended information on this. Once you are in the discord server, head over to #rolls-chat AND #safari-zone. Read the pinned messages for extensive information on how these channels function.
Once you receive your randomized starter, you have the option to Create the MYO yourself [see MYO Guide] OR Some staff members may optionally offer to create your starter for you if they are open/free to do so! You can also advertise in the #advertisements channel to have them designed by another user.
If you choose to make your starter yourself, please follow the linked MYO Guide and post them for approval in the #design-approvals channel with the appropriate form! Once they are uploaded by a staff member, you will be able to use them. A staff member will ping you in #approval-commands when your pokemon has been archived into the TH masterlist.
What Should I Do Next? : We have quite a few things you can start to do now that you have your first pokemon design!
Participate in #chus-challenges AND/OR #art/giftart-redeeming to earn additional loveletters💌 or other special items.
Start to develop your pokemon through #pixies-prompts! These are a set of prompts that you can optionally complete for your pokemon that do not change AND additional prompts that are rotated out monthly.
Read our official storyline in the #explorers-guild or here!
Draw the 'featured character' pokemon for that week to get extra bonus LLs 💌 and the Pokedex information for those 'mons!
OPTIONAL: Participate in an event if there's one going on. You can see when an event is going on by adding the @event-ping role from #reaction-roles OR if the ‘Event’ category is viewable alongside a public ‘event’ discord calendar notification with the details in the description.

Participate in our community adoptions or daycare slots when they open.
Give yourself the @minigames ping to notify yourself when there is a game happening in #flash-minigames! These often feature free adopts through a variety of different hunger games, guessing games, etc.
Buy different kinds of pokeballs to expand your pokedex! If you want a challenge, complete our milestone tracker to win extra rewards.
Breed your pokemon in the daycare when a slot is open!
Make more MYOs to develop your own town, village, guild, region, etc!

Below is a list of topics and where to find additional information in relation to them. Some will have hyperlinks to additional documents and others will be references to specific discord channel pins for extensive info. on the topic at hand.
Rules = An extensive list of all rules and regulations for the Heartcatch ARPG can be found HERE. Discord server specific rules are found in the #rules channel when you join and notes are found in channel pins as well.
Staff Members = All staff members can be found in the discord server with Yellow OR Blue role colors. The owners have differentiating colors and Nitro Boosters are Purple. You can also check out #staff-intros OR the Welcome page at the bottom for the current list.
Adopts = Adopts are posted with the @adopt-ping or @paid-adopt-ping’s in the #adopts channel/s. Please see the attached pins for information on competitions etc. Free raffle adopts use the @giveaway ping in the #raffles channel OR sometimes through minigames within #flash-minigames using the @minigame-ping.
MYOs = All related MYO information can be found in the MYO Guide.
Daycare/Breedings = All related MYO information can be found in the Daycare Guide. Self Breed information can be found in the Self Breed Guide under the 'Daycare' subsection.
Shop/Purchasing Items = Check out the #trinkets-emporium pins to learn how to buy items, myos, and spend your LLs. If you want to view a running list of all current items and prices without being in the discord server, check out our Shop & Items guide.
Chu’s Challenges = A semi-weekly / random prompt channel that periodically has specialty prompts with larger prizes. Check out the #chus-challenges pins for more information.
ARPG Prompts/Pixie’s Prompts = All related MYO information can be found in the Prompt Guide OR in the Explorers Guild Storyline!
Art/Gift-Art Redeeming for LLs = A set of channels that allows you to redeem art you made for yourself for love letters and art you made for others for double the love letters. Check out #art-redeeming and #gift-art-redeeming pins for more info.
Pokeballs & Pokedex = ‘Pokeballs’ refers to any ‘-ball’ items which allows you to randomly roll for a pokemon to catch for your Pokedex. The Pokedex is a logged archive of all of your pokedex entries. Please check out the Pokedex & Archive guide for more info.
Archive Updates = Please check out #archive-updates for additional information on when you should post a form for trading pokedex entries, trading pokemon with another user, updating your pokemons reference, updating your username, etc.
Events = You can see when an event is going on by adding the @event-ping role from #reaction-roles OR if the ‘Event’ category is viewable alongside a public ‘event’ discord calendar notification with the details in the description. Events will also be posted in announcements if one is currently happening.

Below is a comprehensive list of our most commonly used terms that may be unfamiliar to users that are not used to an ARPG format or with Heartcatch as a whole.
HC = Heartcatch
SW = Spaceworld
AS = Area Skyfall
LL or Loveletters = LLs are the ARPGs currency and are used to buy myos and other items.
TS = Type Swap
Trinket = The NPC for the merchant / shop emporium
Pixie = The NPC that is the face of HC.
‘WILD’ MYOs = MYOs used to make pokemon that are not in your pokedex.
Pokedex/Fusion MYOs = MYOs used to make pokemon that you have in your pokedex already.
Leg = Legendary/Mystic/UltraBeast Pokemon
UB = Ultra Beast & Ultraballs
NB = Nursery Batch
SB = Self Breed
PB = Personal Batch (Staff only)
RU = Runner Up
SPBT = Single Parent Breeding Token
