Synapsis' FREE 4-Week Science Fair program offers young learners from first through fifth grade an engaging introduction to science and the scientific method. Through hands-on activities, students will explore foundational scientific concepts and gain valuable experience in experimentation and observation. Each week, they’ll participate in interactive, in-person sessions on Mondays from 5-6 PM, with an additional online session on Sundays from 6-7 PM for those unable to attend in person. These sessions are designed to spark curiosity and build confidence as students work through real-world scientific questions.
Each participant will be paired with a high school mentor who will meet with them one-on-one weekly to provide guidance, help them design experiments, and support their learning. This mentorship gives students a personal connection to STEM and encourages them to think creatively and critically as they work on their projects.

The program wraps up with a Science Fair where students will present their findings to a panel of judges. This culminating event allows them to showcase what they’ve learned and practiced, with opportunities to earn awards for their hard work and enthusiasm. It’s a great way for young students to take their first steps in scientific discovery while building a foundation for future learning.
The science fair will be Thursday, 1/22.
