Assignment Description
For the final assignment, we were to watch the Pixar movie 'Inside Out', researching and building a profile on our chosen client. We then had to design a 30cm x 30cm x 30cm space for the client, which should embody or reflect the client's traits, behavioural actions, characteristics, and habits based on our interpretations and findings.
Just like the previous two ITSD assignments, the final one was just as stressful! On the bright note, the final assignment was the most enjoyable to create and design, as well as most relieving when completed compared to its predecessors. We, the students were given much liberty and freedom in our interpretations of the client's space which definitely reduced the tension in following the brief accurately.
The first graduate capability I have achieved in this project is the Digital Literacy capability, where I fluently navigated through the internet, using software such as photoshop to crop images, scanner apps to scan my works and canva where the design process of my client's space can be shown. Photography using a smartphone and transferring the images on to the design board was also done. Thus I can say that I have achieved the Digital Literacy capability.
The next graduate capability I have achieved is the Thinking and Problem Solving Skills capability. During this assignment I have thought critically and creatively, as well as analysing problems in my models and arriving at effective solutions.
The final graduate capability I have achieved is the Lifelong Learning capability. I believe that I was able to learn independently, and request help only when needed, and when done so, I made sure to ask well formulated questions to prompt healthy discussions, being intellectually engaged. I located, extracted, synthesised and utilized information effectively, making my project something I am proud to have made.
