Boeing (6/9/2020 - 7/13/2022):
I currently work for Boeing Satellite Systems as a Component Engineering Intern. I have officially worked at Boeing for a year in both a full-time and part-time capacity. I am currently considered a subject matter expert in our Electronic Data Analysis process and am taking on a project over the summer to refine the process. This will be a very interesting project to complete as it will speed things along so that our workflow has shorter turnaround times and the process can be easier justified as useful to our program. I currently work to qualify Plastic Encapsulated Microcircuits (PEMs) devices for space use which can be a very intensive process due to the nature of the components.

Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (6/29/2020 - 6/1/2021):
I work as a scholar lead for the WSOS scholarship to aide new students in navigating the school environment. Due to my knowledge gained as a work study student I was able to assist a few students with resources that they would otherwise most likely not be able to find. This involved hosting several sessions throughout the schoolyear to acclimate students to the university, and proved to be extra challenging due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Environmental Science Work Study Office Assistant (9/21/2019 - 6/12/2020):
To make ends meet during school I became a work study student who worked for the Environmental Science department on campus. This job required office skills and customer service experience. I became one of the preferred people to make PDFs for professors as I understood how the copy machines worked and could transfer scans direct to PDF and sent to their email with better image quality. I also helped some of our professors set up meetings through several online resources. This was complicated due to the pandemic coming down, during the middle of this time, though I aided the department in being able to justify keeping the work study students actively employed by the department, though in a more technically intensive role in helping to educate professors to acclimate them to the online format.

Washington State Fair (8/20/2019 - 9/22/2019):
During my freshman year of college I joined the Society of Women Engineers professional club on campus. Every year they hold a national conference which provides a large amount of opportunities for professional work. In order to attend this conference, I signed up to work at the Washington State fair. In reality I have worked every single fair since 2012 volunteering at the Pierce County Beekeeper's Association, so I knew the lay of the land incredibly well. The only difference this time was that I was being paid this time around and I had to talk about bees considerably less. While at the fair there was a night in which a lightning storm overtook the fair grounds. This led to everyone who was supposed to attend the rodeo above pouring down into the exhibit that I was running along with all the people who were outside. This was on a Saturday and it was one of the big fair nights where they had the rodeo. Due to the thunderstorm, they closed the gates to everyone trying to enter the fairgrounds including the employees. Because my coworker was late, I was left by myself to manage the exhibit, which would have been fine, if not for the sudden lightning storm. Needless to say my exhibit was at capacity, and my supervisor was quite impressed that I had managed to hold the exhibit together, keep everyone reasonably calm, and address two medical emergencies in the midst of the chaos.
