This is my third year involved with the speech and debate club, and it has proven to be the most challenging yet fulfilling experience in my 24-year teaching career. I genuinely believe that all students would benefit immensely from participation in speech and debate. Our club emphasizes the importance of effective communication, critical thinking, and ethical argumentation—skills that are crucial for personal and academic growth. Through rigorous research, thoughtful discussion, and collaborative engagements, students develop a profound understanding of diverse perspectives and enhance their ability to present well-reasoned arguments. The value of these experiences extends far beyond the classroom, fostering a culture of respect, intellectual curiosity, and civic responsibility.
I am an enthusiastic Honors Chemistry teacher who couldn't be happier with my career choice. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth as I navigate the ever-changing landscape of education and science. My passion for teaching is matched only by my love for my family; I am married with five children and three grandchildren. Our household is made even livelier by our husky, who we affectionately consider our sixth child. Despite a busy schedule, I cherish the moments I can spend with my family, spend time enjoying nature and the outdoors, or immerse myself in a good book. Looking ahead, I am eager to travel the world, embracing diverse cultures and cuisines along the way.
