This is the Hall of Mirrors - a site dedicated to reflection and reflective practice.
I am constantly reflecting upon and updating the content 😁.
Reflection involves
the operation of an interactive system of conscious and non-conscious iterative processes
constantly ensuring the utility of the meaning schemas through which we interact with our environments
by identifying, evaluating and resolving discrepancies between the predictions of an active meaning schema and information from perceptions of current phenomena, from memories of past phenomena and from imagined phenomena
Reflective process — The basic process by which reflection is triggered and the various routes it may take.
Conscious and non-conscious mechanisms — The different ways in which our brains process information in reflection.
Reflection system — A non-linear, non-cyclical model of reflection based on the interaction of three systems: Representation, Comparison and Causation.
Meaning schemas — The things that the reflective system works to produce, maintain and repair
Discrepancies — The things that trigger the reflective process into action in order to resolve
ReCoCa analysis — a framework of reflective prompts based on this model of the reflective process
