Woody's Birdies for Charity
In 2016, Ron and Geri Woodring established “Birdies for Charity,” benefitting the Exeter Area Food Pantry. The first year, as a part of a two-person scramble, they donated $20 per birdie made by the entire field. The following year, they donated $20 per birdie at the Henry Clay Poe Member-Guest. Their two-year contribution totals $2680.

The golfers at Reading Country Club decided to maintain the event in appreciation of their generosity. In 2022, $3040 was raised for local charities bringing the total raised to $13,925.
