Originally, the RCC Cup the event was renamed in 2017 the Woodring Cup after its founder Ron Woodring. The event uses a format similar to the Ryder Cup with players divided onto two different teams, “Team Ron” and Team Woody.” The event is played over two days in October. Exeter resident Michael Bryant was in a serious motorcycle accident in July 2021 that resulted in him spending months hospitalized. Michael had just graduated from a construction apprenticeship with high honors and multiple awards, ready to start his career. Instead, he ended up losing one of his legs and was confined to a wheelchair, hoping to get an artificial leg. He recently got one. Michael was unable to work to take care of his wife Megan and their children, a 10-year-old son, Caiden, and an 8 year-old daughter, Makayla. Through the Hackaway – Family Fund, the Bryant’s received $3,100 to pay some much needed bills.
