Lunch: Milk, two servings of Fruit or Vegetable, Meat or Meat Alternative, Bread or Bread Alternative
Snacks: Two of the following: Milk, Fruit or Vegetable, Meat or Meat Alternative, Bread or Bread Alternative.
The meal schedule at Gummy Bears' Daycare & Learning Center is approximately as follows:
8:00 A.M. Breakfast
9:30 A.M. Morning Snack
12:00 P.M. Lunch
3:30 P.M. Afternoon Snack
Meals and snacks are provided at no additional charge for parents. Children are encouraged, but never forced, to eat a variety of foods. On occasion, the children may help prepare special snacks or meals. Please do not bring food to the daycare unless it is prearranged. Doing so can cause hurt feelings among the children if one child gets food that another child is not able to eat. Therefore, if your child is having a snack on the way to daycare, please leave it in your vehicle.
Infants will be fed on their own schedule. All breast milk and formula must be labeled with the child’s name and date. If your child is breast-fed, please provide additional frozen milk to keep at the center in case of emergency. Until infants are able to eat regular table food with the other children, parents are expected to provide baby food that has been previously tried at home before sending it to daycare to ensure the child has no food allergies to the foods being offered.
If you want your child to eat their meal at daycare, please have them here by the meal serving time. If your child arrives the serving time, parents are expected to have fed their child at home.
