Tuition at Gummy Bears' Daycare & Learning Center is based on the average weekly cost of providing quality care for your child which includes, but is not limited to: supplies, utilities, insurance, food, field trips, school events, and equipment. Tuition fees do not vary according to attendance as absences do not reduce the cost of operation for the daycare. The tuition covers the your child’s spot at daycare regardless of enrollment or attendance.
Full-time enrollment is considered to be anything over 20 hours per week and is billed at a rate of $175 per week.
Drop-in rate is $40 per day (cash only).

By Friday, the funds are deposited into the Gummy Bears’ account to cover the tuition for the following week of childcare.
Parents who are unable to pay tuition on time will be assessed a $10 late fee, and their child(ren) will not be able to attend until the tuition and late fee have been paid.
*Note: Gummy Bears’ Daycare & Learning Center is not responsible for providing substitute care when school is closed.
Care shall be provided normally from 7:00 A.M. until 5:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. For the purpose of this agreement, overtime will be considered pick-up after 5:30 P.M.
If the parent/guardian makes prior arrangements with the provider, the child may stay overtime at the rate of $15.00 per 15 minutes or portion thereof.
If the parent/guardian has not informed the provider that he or she will be arriving earlier or later than the agreed upon times, the rate will be $5.00 per 15 minutes or portion thereof. Late drop-offs do not allow for late pick-ups.
If the parent/guardian has not notified the provider that he or she will be late and the provider is unable to continue care, the provider will call one of the authorized persons to come for the child(ren).
Paid Holidays: The following are paid holidays for the provider: New Year’s Eve Day, New Year’s Day, January 12, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day. Gummy Bears’ Daycare & Learning Center will be closed from December 26 through December 30th each year. Parents are not charged for these days other than those which fall on the above paid holidays (see Saturday/Sunday rules above.)
Note: typically (but not always), when a holiday falls on a Saturday, I will be closed on Friday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, I will be closed on Monday.
Provider Vacation and Professional Development: Each year I take two weeks (10 days, to be taken in groups or single days) of paid vacation in addition to the paid holidays listed above. Vacations of one week or more will require a minimum two-week notice to parents. I will give you at least seven days notice for single days unless it is an emergency. Parents will pay the regular rate for any parent scheduled vacation. Additionally, I attend conferences and/or take online classes in order to increase my knowledge of current child development issues in the field and to complete training hours as mandated by the state. In keeping with this practice, parents will be charged the regular rate for two days of professional training each year. Please remember that your tuition pays for your child’s slot in daycare, which is kept for your child, regardless of whether your child is in attendance.
Provider Illness: I will take a sick day when it is absolutely needed, and parents will pay up to three days of paid sick leave per year. Please understand that I do not “call in sick” lightly. If you have ever agonized over calling in sick to your boss, imagine how hard it is when I have to call into multiple “bosses!” I realize how disruptive it is to daycare families’ schedules when I am forced to take a sick day, so I will not do it unless there is absolutely no alternative. I will make every attempt to arrange for a substitute caregiver or other provider for your child when I am ill, but parents need to realize that occasionally a sick day may be unavoidable.
Bereavement Leave: In the unfortunate circumstance that one of my immediate family members or significant other should pass, I will take two weeks of bereavement leave at half pay. Immediate family would include parents (I only have one remaining), siblings (I only have one), my child (I only have one), my significant other, or my godchildren (I have two). People in my family tend to live well into their late nineties, and since I am the primary caretaker for everyone in my family except my two godchildren, and I have such a very small family, it’s best to plan ahead.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) will be responsible for making substitute care arrangements for paid provider holidays and provider vacations and provider bereavement leave. Provider will make every attempt to arrange for a substitute when she is unavailable at other times due to sickness or emergency.
The provider will allow only persons who have been authorized by the parent/guardian to remove child(ren) from her care.
Parents will be charged the regular rate when their child(ren) miss daycare due to illness or other reason. Please remember that you are paying for your child’s slot in daycare; a slot that is kept for your child even when they are not in attendance.
A holding fee (deposit) of $300, or the equivalent of two weeks care per child, whichever is less, is required to hold your child’s slot, and is due no later than the first day of care. This amount will be applied to the last two weeks of care or forfeited if the child does not come for care as agreed.
There will be no charge for meals or snacks for children one year and older.
There will be an extra charge for the following infant supplies when not provided by the parent(s)/guardian: disposable diapers, baby food and formula (based on store prices plus 25% shopping fee.)
A holding fee (deposit) of $350, or the equivalent of two weeks care per child, whichever is less, is required to be paid on the first day of care which will be applied to the last two weeks payment, or forfeited if the child does not come for care as agreed.
There will be a $30 NSF fee for any returned checks.
