The GrowSense system is only developed to the monitoring level. This means that is can handle input from different types of sensors, process that input locally to produce responses, and share data over the internet to be presented via a user interface.

The indoor landscaping industry uses self-watering pots (they have a water reservoir and a plant watering solution that uses capillarity). We build on this model.
