Element 5A. School Resources and Budget The school executive establishes budget processes and systems which are focused on and result in student achievement
Ms. Tabron has been overseeing the Field Trips during 2023-2024 at Baskerville. She has been completing Title-I requests for funding to pay for each field trip.
Additionally, upon arrival to DS Johnson, Ms. Tabron sat down with the principal and reviewed the budget and ADM. Ms. Tabron has worked with school the budget to partner with a local tutoring company. She used school funds to create a daily after school program on campus to help support student learning and increase student achievement. She was able to use school funds to not only pay for the tutoring contract, but also pay for the Transportation Department to take students home after each tutoring session.
Element 5B. Conflict Management and Resolution The school executive effectively and efficiently manages the complexity of human interactions so that the focus of the school can be on improved students achievement
Ms. Tabron works efficiently to manage conflict. She understands the need to be proactive and build a better culture. This is an ongoing process so as conflict arises among students, she thoroughly investigates the situation. She works to ensure that learning and safety is the priority. For this bus incident, she immediately arrived to the scene and calmly and attentively addressed the conflict in the best interest of the students. She properly notified the correct parties on the incident. Following her investigation, she notified the correct departments of her decisions regarding the incident.
Element 5C. Systematic Communication The school executive designs and utilizes various forms of formal and informal communication so that the focus of the school can be improved student achievement
Currently, Ms. Tabron contributes to a weekly staff newsletter highlighting instructional strategies for staff, data, and testing information for the school.
At D.S. Johnson, Ms. Tabron supported the principal by contributing to the weekly newsletter. Ms. Tabron created a weekly staff newsletter to share with the D.S. Johnson where she shared important dates and information for staff to help prepare them for the week to come. The newsletter always included reminders, dates, celebrations, and a quote. Staff enjoy receiving the newsletter as a means of clear communication.

Element 5D. School Expectations for Students and Staff The school executive develops and enforces expectations, structures, rules, and procedures for students and staff.
Ms. Tabron developed the updated PBIS Matrix System for Baskerville this year. She explained the matrix to staff and continued Professional Development to help support he use of the Expectations for staff at Baskerville. She encouraged staff to review the PBIS Matrix with students often so they understand the School-Wide Expectations and so that they are aware of how to potentially be nominated for the Student of the Month Award.
