Get involved!
Growing Nature. Growing Community.
Denmead Wildlife Garden is a shared space for all ages to enjoy nature, learn new skills, and connect with one another.
A welcoming neighbourhood garden where people, plants, and wildlife grow together.
🌼 What We’re About
A community-led project by Greening Denmead and All Saints Church, focused on:
Growing plants, fruit, and vegetables
Supporting local wildlife and boosting biodiversity
Creating a friendly space to meet, learn, and relax
Developing a shared composting area to enrich our soil
🌱 Get Involved
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply curious, everyone is welcome.
Come along, share a brew and a chat, get your hands in the soil, and help us grow something special together.
👉 No experience needed.
👉 We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 10:30am–12:30pm.
This project is led by Mike Gaskin (Greening Denmead & All Saints) and supported by Katy from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
Our volunteers are helping to develop the garden into a welcoming space for both people and wildlife, and to show what villagers can do for nature in their own gardens.
We’d especially love to hear from anyone with experience in wildlife gardening or sensory garden design — but all support is valued.
Come along to a meeting, or email us with questions or to join our WhatsApp group. Your involvement helps enrich both our community and our natural environment.
