Community Garden

We have been looking for a suitable site for over a year. Originally we developed a proposal with Denmead Community Centre for a community garden to be on their grounds behind the Annex, but unfortunately this was not approved by the Parish Council. The Parish Council then gave us a License to Cultivate a site off Ashling Park Road, but we decided this was not currently feasible for us to take on.  We're still working with the council and considering multiple sites. We hope to announce more soon.

If you are aware of a plot of land that may be suitable, please let us know.

All residents of Denmead will be welcome to:

• Contribute your ideas to what we include in the garden

• Visit the community garden when it is open and see what plants are growing there

• Learn how to grow your own food

Following the success of previous plant and seed swaps, we’re hoping to run these regularly. If you have a surplus of seeds, or you’re overrun with plants, bring them along to one of these events. If you don’t have anything to swap, that’s absolutely fine too - come along and if something takes your fancy, just make a small donation.
