Designing project mascots

Bulgarian mascot

The name of the mascot is Bukolina. It is a symbolic representation of a tree called "BUK" in Bulgarian. This tree is a symbol of our city. In English, this type of a tree is called "beech"

For each the implemented activity, we will add green leaves to our mascot Bukolina. At the end of the project, the mascot will look green and happy.

Portuguese mascot

Portugal is very famous for one of the most extraordinary and ecological products of nature. Cork is the bark of the Cork Oak tree (Quercus Suber), is nature foam, a foam with a unique combination of properties. Mother Nature planted these trees essentially in southern Portugal. The virtues of cork are well known: it is light, impermeable to liquids and gases. A cork oak can live for over 200 years and the cork (part of the bark) can be harvested once every ten years. Cork is used for many purposes like acoustic and thermic insulation for floors and walls, protective coverings, decorations, etc.

Eco-related calendar

An eco-related calendar was designed as part of the project activities. The main objective of this activity was to promote nature beauty and to raise consern aout the ways we shouls protect it.

Organizing a photo contest under the title GREEN WORLD -HAPPY PEOPLE

The aim of this activity is to teach students to appreciate nature beauty and thus to make them respect and value nture resourses. Students were asked to take photos of nature beauty during the first year of project implementation.
