Romanian school decided to design their Code of Ecologist as an eco-hymn of their school. Here is the hymn in English:
1. Don`t leave for tomorrow
What you can do today !
Pick up the papers
And don`t be upset .
2. Do you like the forest ?
And the fresh air ?
Teach from your parents
To keep them the same !!
3. Are you thirsty and do you want to drink water
But do you know if the water is clean ??
You mustn`t throw in the water what do you want
And you must keep the fountain clear .
4. Don`t throw away the paper
And bottle of juice !!
Think better of what you can do :
A helmet ,a mask ,even a greeting card ..
And you will see that everything is a delight !
5. You are small, but the tree is small ,too
Plant it with pleasure
And you don`t hurt it !!
6. Life with flowers it is like a garden
With more sun and more light .
Plant the flowers in the yard
Because the flowers are yours even they are in the schoolyard.

Interview with Minister of Ecology
On April 22, 2021, 7th grade students participated in the webinar "Lessons with Climate - International Earth Day” which was organized by the Ministry of Climate and Environment in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science. The aim of the course was to introduce students to key issues related to climate protection and to show practical solutions to be implemented in everyday life.
As part of the classes, students participated in a lecture "The Earth's climate system, what is the carbon cycle and how the greenhouse effect works”. They learned from Aleksandra Karaś what each of them can do in the subject of climate change from the perspective of school youth and what actions they can take that would make sense.
The following topics were discussed at the meeting:
- what is climate, the greenhouse effect and climate change about,
- consequences, threats, counteracting climate change and adapting to its effects,
- reducing greenhouse gas emissions,
- changes in habits that will be incorporated into our daily decisions
- adaptive actions, i.e. all actions aimed at good adaptation to progressing global warming,
- how we can protect the climate, the way to achieve this was discussed:
❖ knowledge - gaining knowledge about climate change
❖ conversation - social communication
❖ building community
❖ cooperation
❖ individual action
❖ moderation and the role of example.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions and answer them. They mainly concerned the topics:
- How does climate change affect human health?
- How can each of us reduce greenhouse gas emissions?
- How can we counteract climate change in Poland from
the student's perspective?
- How to protect yourself from the effects of climate change?
- What actions can we take in our immediate environment to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions?
Students received a comprehensive answer from an expert to these and other questions. The meeting was of great educational and didactic value for the students who showed their readiness to participate in the next meeting. This event contributed to the awareness among schoolchildren that climate change is inevitable, but that each of us can contribute to reducing this problem and that we can take action which allows adaptation to climate change.
