Day 3
On day three of our tour, we departed Cologne in the morning and headed to Baden-Baden and the Black Forest. Baden-Baden is a visually pleasing town exuding elegance with a laid back vibe. Our hotel was very comfortable and centrally located to all the town's offerings. Baden-Baden is famous for it's baths, (Roman-Irish Bath and Baths of Caracalla.) Scott is not a soak in the water type of guy, so we did not visit the baths. Several in our group did, and the ratings were all A+! Baden-Baden also has a grand casino, a very popular place with visitors Our visit in Baden-Baden was only for one day, but Scott and I relaxed over lunch, window shopped, and took video of Papa and G (aka Scott and Allison) in front of a fountain for our grandson who loves water. After a light dinner, we strolled along the river and through gardens .We then headed back to our French Provincial decorated room, and enjoyed a restful nights sleep.
