Stream overview

Here is an overview of the Stream page

The main purpose of the Stream page is communication and all class messages and posts are displayed here.

At the top we have the class name and the class code. This code can be shared with students to add them to the class.

You can display the code bigger on the screen by clicking on the little square.

If that's not big enough, if you click on the square again, it will display it full screen.

You can change the class image by selecting a template or by uploading your own photo.

To select a theme, click "Select theme" and choose one which suits your class.

Or click "Upload photo" and add a photo from your computer. To fit properly the image needs to be 2000 x 400 pixels. You can also use Google Drawing to make one.

On the left, you'll find the Upcoming box. This displays the next assignments that are due and when.

If you click "View all", this will open the To Do page, which lists all the assignments that are waiting for review or have been reviewed.

Under the banner, you have the share something box. Click on that if you want to share a message or something.

This opens the message box. See more details on the send message and sharing materials pages.

On the right of that box, you have the reuse post icon. Click on that to open the previous posts dialogue box.

This allows you to reuse previous posts. See reusing materials page for more details.

Under the share something box, is the main part of this page, which is the stream of the messages. These are in chronological order. These include posts about new assignments, questions, messages, etc all in one place.

You can edit the posts by clicking on the 3-dot menu on the post and you can also get a link directly to that post, by selecting "Copy link".

The posts are not just pieces of text, but can include links and attachments.
