TAP and h2h
TAP
TAP is the UCLA Transfer Alliance Program. TAP worksheets, made available in late Fall on the Scholars Canvas shell, can be completed by Scholars in good standing as part of the enhanced application to UCLA's College of Letters and Science. Those Scholars are then evaluated for their eligibility to be TAP-certified by the Scholars counselors and the Program Director in Winter and early Spring. Certification is not automatic and is contingent on both academics and dedicated participation in Scholars.
Academic Criteria for TAP
Junior-level standing (60 semester/90 quarter transferable units completed) by the end of the spring term before you transfer.
GPA of 3.2 or higher earned in transferable courses.
Progress towards completion of major preparation requirements by spring prior to transfer.
There may be additional lower division requirements that students can complete at their current institutions or at UCLA.
Completion of the following courses by spring prior to transfer:
Two transferable courses in English composition/critical thinking and writing.
One transferable math course that has a prerequisite of intermediate algebra or higher.
Four transferable college courses in at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, physical and biological sciences.
Personal Criteria
In addition to academic criteria, UCLA also considers the following personal criteria.
The personal statement students submit with the application is the best place to discuss the following information more in depth:
Employment while attending school
Family responsibilities
A return to school where early grades are not indicative of strong academic performance
Involvement in campus organizations and community service
Military service
Circumstances that may have prevented the student from achieving their highest academic performance
For more information please refer to: https://www.admission.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/ADM_CCO/tap.htm.
Scholars Participation Criteria
Good standing for Scholars Participation throughout the time in the program, first by the end of the Fall semester prior to transfer, and then maintaining good standing to the point of transfer in order to remain eligible for certification:
General Assemblies
Committee meetings
Subcommittee meetings and work
Active participation in at least the minimum number of events each semester, as evaluated at mid-semester and at the end:
At least 6 events in any combination by mid-semester
A total of 10 or more events by the end of the semester
2 Social Events
3 Fundraisers
3 Community Service
2 Arts & Culture
Again, these are minimum criteria, seeing as Scholars seeks to foster truly well-rounded students and human beings.
TAP Certification is evaluated by the Scholars Program Director and Scholars Counselor.
h2h
H2H is the Honors to Honors program at UCI. This transfer agreement allows students to continue in the Campuswide Honors Collegium (Honors program at UCI). Students should have a Good standing with the Scholars Program and a GPA of 3.7 or higher to be able to participate in the program.
Students with a GPA of 3.5 and higher are eligible to apply for the Campuswide Honors Collegium.

Additional Sources and external Programs for transfer Students
TAG Program
TAG is the UC Transfer Application Guarantee. It is not part of the Scholars Program, and any student meeting its eligibility requirements, in or out of Scholars, may apply for it. TAG forms can be completed as part of the enhanced application to only one of these 6 UC Campuses (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz).
Please refer to the online TAG application for the most recently updated information concerning TAG.
Students should also use the Transfer Admission Planner in order to complete the TAG Application.
TAG is beneficial for any student preparing for transfer to some UC's (see above). Students participating in TAG will receive early review of academic records, early admission notification and specific guidance about major preparation and general education coursework.
Keep in mind: TAG applications are due Sept. 30, and students can apply for TAG at only one campus.

Transfer Admission Planner
It is highly recommended that students use the Transfer Admission Planner as a tool that helps students track their progress toward meeting UC's minimum requirements, and allows UC staff to communicate important information to prospective transfer students.
The Transfer Admissions Planner can be found here: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/transfer-admission-planner/.
