Students who meet the eligibility requirements, and who are truly dedicated to being an active member of the program, are invited to join us by completing the online application. 

Application Deadlines

The application deadline for Fall admission is June 1, which is a firm, final deadline. Priority registration typically is provided by the next term (Winter or Spring) if not in Fall.

Scholars also has Spring admissions; Spring applications are due November 15. If you are not able to apply in time, or if you are not accepted, you could take classes, including perhaps an Honors class, and reapply with a strengthened application. Contact Dr. Harnett and Ms. Isman Salas, Scholars Administrative Assistant, at ​scholars@glendale.edu  if you have any questions, and also to see if there is room in ENGL 101H in the Fall semester, HUMAN 105H in Winter, and ENGL 102H in Spring, seeing as Scholars are expected to take at least ENGL 101H, including those who have passing AP English scores. Any designated Honors courses taken before admission to Scholars can still count toward Program Completion. You may also be a Guest of the program and participate in General Assemblies, committee meetings, and Scholars events; send an email and your ID requesting that you be added as a Guest to our email list to scholars@glendale.edu if you would like to do that.

Please note that in addition to applying to Scholars, you must first also apply to GCC online. Go to MyGCC, then select Apply--Credit Program. You will need to apply and receive a GCC ID number in order to have your application evaluated.

Applicants who satisfy basic Scholars entry requirements will participate in interviews, which will be arranged. Applicants will be contacted as soon as possible about admission to Scholars, usually about 8 weeks after applications close.
