APPLICATION STATUS: Closed. The Spring, 2025 application will be prepared and opened during the Fall semester. The deadline for it will be November 15, 2024.
IF YOU CANNOT OBTAIN CURRENT GRADE REPORTS FROM INSTRUCTORS, SUBMIT THE APPLICATION ON TIME WITHOUT THEM. I WILL CHECK GCC COURSE HISTORIES FOR ALL APPLICANTS MYSELF AFTER THE END OF THE SEMESTER. YOU MAY UPLOAD THE REPORTS FROM ALL INSTRUCTORS ONTO THE APPLICATION, OR IF YOUR INSTRUCTORS PREFER TO SEND GRADE REPORTS DIRECTLY, THEY MAY EMAIL THEM TO SCHOLARS@GLENDALE.EDU, CLEARLY IDENTIFYING YOUR NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE EMAIL. PLEASE NOTE: Applications submitted after the deadline, which is a firm deadline, will not be considered for admission. Priority registration may not be available until the following term upon acceptance.
Also note: All students completing high school are eligible for English 101H, which is recommended for all new Scholars (unless you have already taken English 101, 101H, or 101+). No placement is required for high-school graduates.
Also: Part of the application is the Entrance Interview, which will be arranged after preliminary evaluations of all applications, and all applicants who meet the basic criteria will be invited, forming the final consequential step of the application process. Applicants will be emailed at the email address that they provide on the application. GCC emails are preferred and will be required once you have one. A SignUp Genius will be set up to arrange the interview slots.
Download Student Grade Reports (below), one for every class you are currently taking. Transcripts account for courses already completed in high school and any college classes. Ask your current instructors to estimate your current standing and grades. Candid comments are encouraged. Instructors may prefer to send the completed report directly to scholars@glendale.edu. Scan, combine, and save all of the Grade Reports as a single PDF or Word document and upload it where indicated on the application form.
If needed, your application will be placed on hold pending final course grades.
