Largely survivors from the battle of Vega, the scrappy remnants of mankind's first true battle fleets have returned to revenge themselves upon the Scourge!
I chose to do an extremely scrappy version of the Resistance and enjoyed using a lot of weathering pigments and techniques to really give them a used and abused feel. Additionally, magnetizing most turrets has given me a fair amount of flexibility in fielding these ships in multiple configurations.

The green Cruisers denote their purely combat purpose, and each has a single magnetized turret and two artillery cannons.
This model in particular makes great use of space station bits to allow for the dual cannons on top.
Two heavily modified cruisers, designed as hybrid carrier/troopships.
This custom Tribune battlecruiser (the turret on top is magnetized) continues the tan and blue scheme of hybrid carrier troopships, but adds some green panels to denote it's combat role as well.
A custom Gladius grand cruiser using standard cruiser hull.
This pair of Centurions provide much needed heavy firepower with their magnetized turrets. Notice the Centurion with it's "chin" cut off, and added bulk, it can fit an additional turret underneath.
Resistance Frigates offer a huge variety of loadouts and therefore opportunities for both unique designs and paint schemes. I tended to organize my Frigates by their colors and by some shared design elements where possible.
Old asteroid mining vessels in a deep brown represent Strike Carriers in my fleet. I typically arm them, but these turrets can be removed.
Made from all manner of spare parts (including PHR), this Frigate is a tad small, but fits in nicely.
My first combat Frigates, these are intended to be generic and fill in any gaps in any other squadron... I'll eventually add more "milk grey with stripes" frigates to this fleet... but for now it's just the two.
Three heavy frigates armed with double vent cannons is a terrifying prospect... the green turtle like colors denote their heavier armor as well.
Last but not least, we have two "detector" frigates and a third that may also double as a Strike Carrier. Together they make up the unarmed ships in my fleet and offered a great opportunity to have some fun with dishes and antenna!
Like most Resistance players I used spare bits to create additional Corvettes and I'm quite happy with how they came out... especially the one utilizing a Resistance army helicopter wings!
