When thinking of what game to reaserch i had a few come to mind e.g. subnautica and Dont Starve Together, but in the end i decided to do the initial research on What remains of Edith Finch.
In WROEF The music is used in the gameplay; most notibly in lewis' story where you navigate a river following notes that play the music when combined with the other task of his job to do at the same time.
In the game there is an abundance of different music for all the story's however when in the main house theres a suprising lack of music and is odly quiet, this makes the house feel eerie and not very lively unlike when your in the storys and there are people around so there is more music.
In DST (Dont Starve Together) They do some interesting things to make the voices for the characters by making every character in the game have a different instrument as their voice
we were shown a short clip to get a list of audio from then record the audio and i believe in the afternoon we were going to put the audio together however i had to leave that afternoon so i didn't get it finished
I went through the options and decided that i was just going to use one of the default ones given as options instead of finding my own so i chose resident evil.
After chosing a trailer i decided that i should list all the sounds that are in it so that i could gather what i needed to put together
to edit the audio we were shown something called bandlab however i left this project a bit too long and so i did it at home using software i already had there (daVinci resolve + audacity)
I used a youtube mp4 converter to take the video that i then dropped into my project and muted the track so that you would only hear my sounds.
I think this was a good project for learning more about sound as not many in the class knew much about it before hand. Personally i believe this wasn't my favourite project going on so i didnt pay too much attention to it compared to other projects
