This will help me put a “foot in the door” for my future. Growing my network and meeting people can allow me to get my name out there.

Doing projects so I can meet more professors and doctors
Introducing myself and talking to new people in the lab
Being kind and open-minded to everyone

Learning the material and trying to memorize it

My Goals Reaching the End...

During my internship, I embarked on a journey with clear goals in mind, and as I reflect on this experience, I realize that my aspirations remained similar throughout the process. Despite the challenges and learning curves I encountered along the way, my goals remained unchanged.

First and foremost, my commitment to personal and professional growth remained unwavering. Throughout the internship, I actively sought out opportunities to expand my skill set, deepen my knowledge, and expand my expertise in pathology. Whether it was through hands-on experience in the lab, attending seminars, or engaging in independent research, I remained dedicated to furthering my development as a budding professional in the field.

Moreover, my drive to learn more about pathology continued. Each day presented new opportunities to delve deeper into the very specific details of the discipline, from understanding disease processes to interpreting diagnostic findings.

Additionally, building and nurturing my professional network remained my top priority throughout the internship. I recognized the importance of cultivating meaningful connections with colleagues, mentors, and industry professionals, as they could provide valuable guidance, support, and opportunities in my future. I actively worked towards expanding my network and forging lasting relationships.

As I look back on my internship experience, I am proud to say that my goals have remained constant. While the journey may have presented its fair share of challenges and uncertainties, staying true to my aspirations has allowed me to stay focused, motivated, and driven towards achieving success in my chosen field. Moving forward, I am confident that these goals will continue to guide me as I navigate my career path and pursue my passion for forensics and pathology.

I now plan on continuing to work at this internship site.

Learning...

So far, I have gained and bettered many transferable skills at this internship. I have been able to better myself as a professional and college student. My communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are ones that this opportunity has allowed me to improve. I was also able to learn to be patient with myself and what ways I learn and hold information better. This will be useful in my future career and continuation as an Honors College student.
