KOROKORO is a collaboration between Lyra-May Ouattara and Azier, Jean-Christian. It is an idea in development, a blueprint, which ultimately aims to offer a visual testimony of the experience of young Ivorians in Ivory Coast.

Interestingly enough, because of her height, she was pushed into sports and it is only later that she realized that she preferred arts. Since then, she started investing into her craft and infusing it with deeper meaning.

Bernie has always been a creator. Fashion has been one of her main outlets for self-expression and for healing. She is now in the Haute Couture Fashion Program at Richard Robinson.

Harar is a queer, Jamaican-Canadian multi-disciplinary artist. They use their work to explore themes of individual and collective healing. They use the mediums of spoken word poetry, written poetry and visual art to turn experiences and emotions into pieces that allow the viewer to exist within fractured moments.

Hasina is a visual artist. As a child, she used to write the secret stories of her community (using a lot of creative liberty). She graduated from oral to visual storytelling. She paints and draws the history of her family, her friends and those of women she’s never met before.

Anaïs Cardot is a singer-songwriter based in Gatineau. Her music spans genres and sounds as does her inspirations. From Bob Marley to John Mayer, she finds beauty in everything!

Ashley is a dancer, speaker and the creator of the platform FreeGxrl Media. For the past five years, dance has become a very important aspect of her life as she was involved in Carleton university’s dance crew. She has performed everywhere locally, including when she opened for WizKid in 2019.

Lyra is a painter and photograph originating from Ivory Coast. Her work usually deals with themes of everyday life, current issues.

Mely is a singer-songwriter native of Outaouais. She won the local finale of Secondaire en Spectacle in 2017 and is releasing a project this year.

RèN Darah is an afrosoul singer-songwriter. She has performed at many shows including Secondaire En Spectacle, Festival Des Montgolfières and CÉGEP En Spectacle and la Nuit Des Sans-Abris.

Naïka is a Queer Haitian-Quebecker folk/soul artist, based in Montreal. She is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist. She is a ⅓ of alternative chill-soul trio Strange Froots and the co-founder of the QTBIPOC Montreal collective Fruition. You can listen to her first solo album "Painted Imageries" which dropped this early January.

Trina James is a Black mixed with Black queer person currently living in Ottawa. They recently completed a double major in Political Science and Women & Gender Studies at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. As a proud Jamaican, Trina loves to spend their time finding creative ways to fuck the system such as writing, developing cannabis education sessions for marginalized youth, perfecting the art Stand-Up Comedy and simply exist in their authentic form.
