The Water challenge (Kayak, SUP)

With the bright weather in Wales, the season for water sports has returned. Thanks to the help of Steve and Missionary Hong, we had the opportunity to enjoy kayaking and SUP at North Dock. Although it was a bit awkward trying it for the first time and there was some apprehension about falling into the water, it was a great opportunity for everyone to take on a new challenge and reflect on themselves.
웨일즈의 화사한 날씨와 함께 워터 스포츠의 계절이 돌아왔습니다. 스티브와 홍선교사님의 도움으로 노스독에서 카약과 SUP을 즐길 수 있는 시간이었습니다. 처음 타보는 것이라 조금 어색하기도 하고 물에 빠지는 것에 약간의 부담도 있었지만 모두가 새로운 도전을 해 보고 자기 자신에 대해서 생각해 볼 수 있는 좋은 기회였습니다.
The School Assembly at Ysgol Hen Heol

We attended the student assembly at Old Road School. Members from the First Team explained the life of Missionary Thomas and why Koreans are living here in Wales, under the theme "The Grain of Wheat That Returned." Additionally, we had a wonderful time sharing Korean culture and songs through games with the children. We hope that our small efforts to raise awareness of missions will leave a significant impact on them.
올드 로드 스쿨의 학생 조회를 참석했습니다. 퍼스트 팀의 친구들이 "돌아온 한 알의 밀알" 이라는 주제로 어린 학생들에게 토마스 선교사의 삶과 왜 한국 사람들이 이 곳 웨일즈에 살고 있는지를 설명했습니다. 더불어서 한국의 문화와 노래 게임으로 아이들과 함께 하는 매우 즐거운 시간이었습니다. 선교를 알리려는 우리의 작은 몸짓이 그들에게 큰 의미로 남기를 바랍니다.
The retreat at LongBarn
Date : 29 March 2024 to 1 April 2024
During the Easter holiday break, we held a retreat at Longbarn, a place filled with memories. It was a time of getting to know each other better through walks, games, sharing, and prayer. Though the rain occasionally fell, it was also an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature in Wales. There was an incident where Jiwon got injured, but thanks to God's protection, we were able to conclude the retreat without any major mishaps. It was truly enjoyable having everyone together.
추억의 장소 롱반에서 부활절 휴가를 맞아 리트릿을 가졌습니다. 산책과, 게임, 나눔과 기도로 서로를 더 알아가는 과정이었습니다. 비가 종종 내리긴 했지만 아름다운 웨일즈의 자연을 만끽할 수 있는 시간이기도 했습니다. 지원이가 다치는 사고도 있었지만, 하나님의 보호하심으로 큰 사고 없이 리트릿을 마칠 수 있었습니다. 모두들 함께해서 너무 즐거웠습니다.
Wild Wandering

Wales is a place that reveals to us the meaning of wilderness. It is not merely spiritual; through literal wilderness, we come to understand spiritual significance more clearly. Therefore, the journey through the wilderness in the Gower Peninsula holds meaning for us. Even in seemingly meaningless times, if we believe that God still gives meaning to and guides our lives, perhaps our journey in life will be closer to His purpose. Walking through the wilderness, Wales offers us new wonders.
웨일즈는 우리에게 광야의 의미가 무엇인지를 알려주는 곳입니다. 그것은 단순히 영적이지만은 않습니다. 실제적인 광야를 통해 우리는 영적인 의미를 더 분명히 이해하게 됩니다. 가우아 반도에서 광야의 여정은 그래서 우리에게 의미가 있습니다. 아무 의미없어 보이는 시간에도 하나님은 여전히 우리의 삶에 의미를 부여하고 이끌어 가고 계심을 믿을 수 있다면, 인생의 여정이 조금은 더 그 분의 목적과 가깝지 않을까요? 광야에서의 걸음, 웨일즈가 우리에게 줄 수 있는 새로운 놀라움입니다.
JungWoo and EuSin's engagement ceremony

There was a covenant ceremony between Jungwoo and Yushin. Having completed his training in the UK, Jungwoo was returning to Korea to enlist in the military, while Yushin had to stay in the UK to continue her training. It was a time for them to promise each other friendship, love, and dedication. Amidst the long separation, the two wanted something to remember each other by, and the FLN community prepared and attended the ceremony together. We hope their relationship continues to evolve, and it will deepen even further during the time they are apart.
정우와 유신이의 언약식이 있었습니다. 영국에서 훈련을 마치고 이제 한국으로 돌아가 군대에 가야하는 정우와 계속 영국에 남아서 훈련을 받아야 하는 유신이 두 사람이 서로를 향한 우정과 사랑 그리고 헌신을 약속하는 시간이었습니다. 긴 이별전에 두 사람은 서로의 기억에 남을 무엇인가를 하기를 원했고, 공동체의 가족들이 그 시간을 함께 준비하고 또 참석해 주었습니다. 두 사람의 관계가 계속 발전하고 서로 떨어져 있는 시간동안 더 깊어지기를 바라는 마음입니다.
