We collected 6 bags of litter, reported 2 fly-tips and pulled up laurel saplings.
Laurel is an invasive species; the dense evergreen leaves prevent light from penetrating through to the woodland floor which inhibits the growth of other vegetation. We're working hard with Newport City Council to help remove it from the woodland so our beautiful native flora can thrive.
We ended the session with a visit to the orchard where Mary taste tested and confirmed the apples still weren't ready đŸ˜….
