What a fantastic night! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our spooktacular Halloween bat walk! It was a joy to see so many bats, and the bat detectors truly brought the evening to life. We’re especially grateful to Pete from Friends of the Road to Nature for sharing his expertise and making the night both educational and entertaining.
The kids had a blast enjoying sweet treats and even got to use an infrared camera to spot bats in the dark! A big shout-out to Gwent Wildlife Trust and Newport City Council for lending us their bat detectors.
If you missed this event, don’t worry! We have plenty of exciting activities and volunteer opportunities coming up. Stay connected by following us on social media for updates and highlights. If you or someone you know would like to join our Thursday volunteer sessions at the woods or allotments, please reach out to us.
