Big Butterfly Count

We had a productive first session on the new project!

The group participated in Butterfly Conservation's, Big Butterfly Count. We're keeping our own records too, so we can compare results year on year to help measure the project's impact. 

We recorded 6 different butterfly species, picked 3 bags of litter, reported 2 fly-tip incidents and came up with loads of ideas for future sessions whilst Matt sorted the allotment.

We also sampled the apples and can confirm they aren’t quite ready yet 🤣.
