degree vs career

Be careful with the word 'career'- that's a false friend for Spanish speakers of English: 

CAREER: 

• the job or series of jobs that you do during your working life, especially if you continue to get better jobs and earn more money

• Your professional career 

• Lexico dictionary

DEGREE: 

a course of study at a college or university, or the qualification given to a student after he or she has completed his or her studies

• A University degree

• A degree in architecture

• a history degree
