Many of the conventions of an article apply to writing a blog post:
1. An attention-grabbing headline
A good blog post is about one topic/story/idea, but just one. Good titles are interesting, descriptive, and engaging.
2. A captivating introduction that will catch the reader's eye:
You can start with a quote, a question, or a bold, audacious statement.
3. Structure: Body paragraphs- Interesting supporting points
This is the body of the post, that is, the “meat” of the post — what will back up your main topic or argument. You can still use topic sentences and supporting sentences, like you would do in an article.
4. A conclusion.
Just like any other text type. It might include a compelling call to action: this is the part of the post where you invite your readers to answer a question, leave a comment, or share your post.
Compared to an article, a blog post tends to be:
usually shorter
gives personal opinions
uses a slightly more informal register and style
