Here at FRC Team 5430, Pirate Robolution, we aim to inspire and prepare future leaders of science and technology through engaging assignments that increase their skills in collaboration, experimentation, and innovation.

Robotics is a class, a club, a sports team, and a business!
Robotics is a class, a club, a sports team, and a business!
In robotics, the STUDENTS design, build, program, and test remote controlled or automated robots. These robots compete against AND with other FRC teams' robots in task-oriented competitions. However, the students also write grants, update and run the website, present to local businesses, create graphic designs for digital use, printing, and clothing. Students also learn leadership, quality checking, safety skills, logistics and project management, and more!

This class is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and is a great way for students to get the experience of working on a professional team to acquire vital teamwork skills, all while having fun*.

*fun as measured in average over the course of their involvement in the program: cleaning the shop is not fun, and yet it needs to be done constantly!

Our first competition is Week 3 @ Sacramento, so we are @ the shop finishing systems: reinforcing the shooters, installing the hopper(basket-like storage for the fuel).

We are also making spares for the inevitable: not IF but WHEN the intake or shooters get damaged and will need repair!
