Flat Mode is a new feature in FrameVR that changes your 3D environment into a Zoom-style meeting area.
Log in on a FrameVR environment by selecting CONNECT.
At the bottom of your 3D view you can select the four squares at the right in the menu.
You will now enter FLAT mode.
You will now see all users in the area and their WEBCAMS.
If you select ASSETS at the top, you will see all the objects that are placed in the 3D area, at the left you see a row with pictures and names of the users.
If you select SHARED DOC at the top, you can work together on a document within the meeting.
If you select AGENTS at the top, you will see the AI chatbot(s) that is/are available in every environment.
The CHAT can be activated by selecting the chat balloon icon at the right top.
You can activate your microphone and webcam at the bottom of your screen.
To have a transcription of the meeting, select the round disc in the menu below.
Check out the video below to see what else is possible....
If you want to record your meetings, check out the info about screen recording.
Create a new FrameVR environment for the FLAT MODE, during creating select the EMPTY environment.
In the FRAME SETTINGS -> GENERAL - > scroll down to 'Auto-enable Flat Mode' and enable this. Now every user will enter this area directly in Flat mode.
You might also enable the 'Auto-enable webcams' so every user will automatically start with their webcam running.
Close the settings.
At the bottom of your 3D view you can select the four squares at the right in the menu. This will open the FLAT MODE.
Select the SETTINGS icon at the right top, it's the round icon left of the CC icon.
Now on the left top you can choose between PRESENTER view and GRID view.
The PRESENTER view will show the user that is talking on the big screen and the other users as a small icon at the top. In presenter view you can select how many presenters there will be.
The GRID view will show all users' webcams on the big screen.
This can only be changed by the owner/admin of the area. We advise to leave it on GRID view.
If you select ASSETS at the top, you will see all the objects that are placed in the 3D area, at the left you see a row with pictures and names of the users. If there are no assets, it will show nothing.
It is good to place one STREAMING SCREEN in this ASSETS area. This can be used to share your webcam as a presenter or share your computer screen with info you have on it.
If you want separate zones to talk in private, you can create some voice-zones in 3D mode, and name them something like Zone-1 and Zone-2. If you want use a password on the zone, you have to set that in 3D mode. Just walk into the zone and press the little LOCK icon at the bottom of your screen. Use the one with the plus sign to enter a password.
The Zones will be available at the right bottom of the user's screen. The current zone, when you start, is always 'None', just click on it and select another zone.
