Osmund, as is typical for a Guardian, only recognizes the use of names for efficiency in communications.  The nickname Ozzie was given to him by his parents and explained as being useful and different than his formal name.  Unlike other Guardians, Ozzie has assessed this and finds it consistent with the goals his parents support and so recognizes it and even uses it when circumstances indicate it is appropriate.

As a "young" Guardian Ozzie may not manifest his full power yet.  Also as a "born" Guardian Ozzie is both slightly less fixedly committed to his role, and also more flexible (personable) although slightly less powerful, than some of the older Guardians.

Ozzie works as Club Security at The Adventurer's Club in Marden along with Brandt.  In this role he is not only a bouncer in the Club but in charge of protecting the Labs and Vaults below and the precious creche. Ozzie works the upstairs more often, and Brandt the downstairs, since Ozzie's people skills are "better".
