Darius is a Fortu unlike any other.  The first record of his appearance was in the 4th Era when Sigmund found him within the Linking Ward.  Darius is the only Fortu other than Sigmund who is a master of discipline magics (D'Jan and Peter have dabbled in them) and there are rumors he may be a dream walker as well.

Not many know of the existence of Darius at all since he has spent most of his time confined to the Linking Ward.  Amongst those who do, there have been rumors that Darius is, in fact, a version of Sigmund from the future that has travelled back in time to the 4th Era, and rejoined the stream there.  This rumor is supported by many of their similarities and by the fact that Sigmund and Darius both speak as if it were true, but it is implausible because the nature of such time travel would be impossible in this Epoch.  There are theories that perhaps this may be part of the reason that Darius is only a shadow of what he was in the 4th Era.

Physical Appearance

Darius looks remarkably like Sigmund except that he is slightly smaller and, unlike any other Fortu, he has a glowing mane of hair.  His hair is long, falling across his shoulders, and appears to be composed of ropes of glowing crystals, similar to the crystals which are embedded in Nureyev's head.

At the moment, Darius is not integrated fully with his surrounding reality and he appears strangely translucent.  Erratic flashes of light and arcs of electricity can be seen moving around inside of him, but he is not quite translucent enough to see them clearly.

Current Status

Darius was severely damaged when the Linking Ward was resurfaced in the 10th plane.  He is currently recovering his integrity from backup and is at 30% re-integration.  Darius currently does not leave the Linking Ward both as a defense for the ward and also for his own still fragile integrity.
