Betsy Goehrig, former minister and current Recruitment and Retention Manager for Foster Care within the NWF Health Network, described her background, the needs of foster care children, and how we can help make these children's wishes come true during the holidays. The group did a getting to know you activity. Claudette introduced her guest, Andrea, a former colleague from Springwood. With initiation in January, Julie M. encouraged members to invite potential members to our fall meetings. Asia R. gave an update on former member Caroline V., who moved to Cedar Key, and her experience dealing with Hurricane Idalia. Camille shared that Leon County has 44 Little Free Libraries scattered around. Many of these need restocking, cleaning, etc. Camille, gifted with numerous boxes of books from a relative, bagged them for distribution to these Little Free Libraries. Dividing them up according to geographical location, she had envelopes with each library’s location and stickers explaining who donated the books. Members were encouraged to take a library envelope and a bag of books to deliver in the next month or two.
