The anniversary of our chapter was in March. Alpha Sigma was founded on March 21, 1961. Sisters have been generous with their time and pocketbooks over the past 50 years. Nine meetings have been held yearly for 60 years. Members continue to tap outstanding women educators for initiation; exceptional programs have been presented, and many Alpha Sigma members have gone on to serve as officers at the district, state, and international levels. The strength of the Alpha Sigma chapter has been the cooperation, pride, integrity, and honor of its members.

Our Altruistic Project for April was the Marilyn Sharp Textbook fund, which provides gift cards for books and supplies for the residents of the AΔK Scholarship House. Our last meeting of the year included an International Potluck.
