Our president, Kathy, called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone to the Zoom September meeting. Chaplain Kathy gave the thought for the Day, a quote by Booker T. Washington. Eric Clark, President of the Leon Schools Foundation, was our guest speaker. He discussed the Foundation's various programs and how it could utilize Alpha Sigma's plans to support the State President-Elect's art project. Karen, the Chairman, shared that October is A∆K Month. Members were encouraged to purchase art supplies for the Capital City Youth Services (CCYS). We should bring our supplies or gift cards to the October meeting—other suggestions: puzzles, board games, and books. Altruistic Chairmen Kathy and Camille reported still collecting linens for the December project. Membership chairman Julie explained the continued emphasis on recruitment. Scholarship House chairman Cheryl shared that several sisters went to the scholarship house to present each girl a $150 gift card.
