Our November meeting, a holiday lantern craft night, was led by Susan H. and hosted at Kathy L.’s house. Thanks to Camille and Susan H. for supplying tables, chairs, and early preparation activities for our craft night. Treasurer Jan O. reminded everyone that membership dues must be paid by Dec. 15. Members were encouraged to sign up for an office or committee chair for the next biennium. Pat A. reminded us that it takes approximately half of the membership to fill all the roles required for a successful chapter. Members without official responsibility for this biennium were strongly encouraged to sign up for a position. Kathy L., altruism, said the “shopping elves” have dropped off their holiday gifts for the children in the Foster Care Program within the NWF Health Network, and she will take all the gifts to the official drop-off venue on Dec 4th or 5th. Kathy is also storing the linens (twin size only) being donated for our February altruistic project, Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Karen L. introduced our guest, Kristen L., who is interested in joining. She formerly taught at Raa and now teaches 5th grade at Killearn Lakes. Julie M. shared that our September meeting guest, Andrea G., is interested in joining. Cheryl shared a note for Samirah, a scholarship house resident, who thanked the chapter for all they do for the girls.
