Here we will discuss the 'systems' of our server. This is a more OOC set of guides and explainers for the more plugin related parts of the server and how to use them.
✦ Radiation Tracking (Minecraft/. . .) ✦ *
We keep track of radiation via minecraft's own xp system. Killing some mobs or entering some zones will grant you this minecraft xp and your xp level can be cross referenced with your Radiation Card to tell what your RADs level is at. (Note: You can find Radiation Cards on the R.A.D. page under Character Sheets)
✦ NPC Trading (Shopkeepers) ✦
We make use of the Shopkeepers plugin for NPC traders due to it's ease of use and ability to have a limited stock for items of trade. This means you can't just infinitely buy certain items and will have to wait for that NPC to 'Restock' (a service provided by the staff).
✦ Crafting (Citizens/Shopkeepers) ✦
The Citizens mod has a built in buying/selling feature that we'll retrofitted for our uses in an advanced crafting system. Other plugins aid this as well though like Shopkeepers for portable crafters, CMI for some custom minecraft system crafting recipes and more!
✦ Custom Items (CMI/Misc.) ✦
We make use of COUNTLESS custom items on the server, granted models/textures via our resource packs and working via many plugins we have in stock. These items have a variety of use directly via our ability to link commands to items via the CMI plugin.
✦ Melee Combat (CMI/Minecraft) ✦
While not the main form of combat it might be made use of in some forms, our melee weapons are customized via our resource pack and the CMI plugin to bring custom lore, names, attack speeds and more.
✦ Firearms (Weaponmechanics) ✦
The plugins we use for gunplay mostly revolve around the Weaponmechanics series. With these we are able to add in custom sounds, models, textures and more for our guns and tweak how they work functionally as well as the itemlore data of all instances of that weapon.
These guns, both ballistic and energy are reloaded via the 'drop item' key while equipped, require ammunition items to fire, can be aimed in with right click and fired with left click. I will note that some of their functionality works strangely with dual wielding and as well some items that are IC automatic are made into burst weapons due to some limitations of the plugin.
✦ PVE Enemies (Citizens Platform/. . .) - Coming Soon... ✦ *
We will, in the future, be adding some enemies that can be found in special zones that can be fought via the pve method. This will be used to add wasteland creatures for hunting, more humanoid enemies that may shoot back and more. The specifics of which will be worked out in the future though.
✦ General Collecting (Phatloot) ✦
We make use of a wonderful custom loot plugin called Phatloot to make many of our collection methods. Be it herb sites, grime from gutters, loot chests or more, this plugin helps us greatly in our post apocalypse mission of fun gameplay.
✦ Hunting (Citizens Platform/Phatloot/. . .) ✦ *
As mentioned before, we make use of the Citizens platform of plugins to create custom creatures that one can find throughout the wasteland. These creatures when killed will drop 'Corpse' items that require going to the butcher crafting site and then that will give you a randomized amount of meat to process, cook and more.
