The aim of the Chester Street Foundation (CSF) is to illuminate the impact of childhood trauma so that kids can receive the treatment they deserve while they are still young enough to recover without continuing the cycle of trauma into adulthood.
The Human Resources Intern will support a range of HR functions and projects to help strengthen internal operations and employee experience. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in human resources within a nonprofit setting, including exposure to the full employment lifecycle.
Talent Acquistion and Staffing: Assist in drafting job descriptions, posting opportunities, screening applicants, and supporting interview coordination.
Legal Issues in HR: Help research employment law updates and assist in ensuring policy alignment with applicable labor regulations.
Training and Development: Support the creation, scheduling, and evaluation of employee training sessions, including onboarding modules.
Strategic HR Management: Contribute to special projects that align HR practices with broader organizational goals.
HR Analytics: Collect and analyze HR-related data (e.g... retention, engagement, time-to-fill) to inform reporting and decision-making.
Compensation and Benefits: Assist with salary benchmarking research, benefit enrollment logistics, or employee information updates.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Intermediate level of Information Systems experiences preferred
